On Face Tracking in Video Sequences
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper proposes a framework to track faces in image sequences in a video. The technique combines face detection through using Support Vector Machine (SVM) with target tracking through using a Kalman filter. The adjacent locations of the target point are predicted in a search window that reduces the number of image regions that are candidates for faces. Thus, the method can predict the object motion more accurately. Our architecture is distinguished by the satisfactory results for videos containing scale variation, bad illumination and complex background. Brightness compensation is applied to improve the detection of faces in videos. Keywords-face detection; face tracking; adaptive face tracking;SVM.

Neural Network Performance Analysis for Real Time Hand Gesture Tracking Based on Hu Moment and Hybrid Features
This paper presents a comparison study between the multilayer perceptron (MLP) and radial basis function (RBF) neural networks with supervised learning and back propagation algorithm to track hand gestures. Both networks have two output classes which are hand and face. Skin is detected by a regional based algorithm in the image, and then networks are applied on video sequences frame by frame in...
متن کاملFace detection and tracking using a Boosted Adaptive Particle Filter
A novel algorithm, termed a Boosted Adaptive Particle Filter (BAPF), for integrated face detection and face tracking is proposed. The proposed algorithm is based on the synthesis of an adaptive particle filtering algorithm and the AdaBoost face detection algorithm. An Adaptive Particle Filter (APF), based on a new sampling technique, is proposed. The APF is shown to yield more accurate estimate...
متن کاملAutomatic Tracking of Face Sequences in MPEG Video
Human faces are commonly found in video streams and provide useful information for video content analysis. This paper presents a robust face tracking system to extract multiple face sequences from MPEG video without human intervention. Specifically, a view-based DCT-domain face detection algorithm is first applied periodically to capture mostly frontal and slight slanting faces of variable size...
متن کاملImage-based stress recognition from a model-based face tracking system
This paper presents a comparison of learning methods to detect stress from video sequences of people with a close-up of their face. The video sequences consist of people subjected to various psychological tests that induce high and low stress situations. We use a model-based tracking system to get the face movements and deformations in a parameterized form. We compare different learning methods...
متن کاملMultiple Face Tracking with Appearance Modes and Reasoning
Multiple face tracking plays a key role in applications related to security-surveillance, human-computer interactions, video indexing etc. Existing literature in face tracking has mainly focused on facial features from a detection/recognition viewpoint. On the other hand, we believe that reasoning with detected/tracked face regions has a strong role in multiple face tracking. We propose a reaso...
